APC-EIX/DS-3 [Adax Inc.]

APC-EIX/DS-3 is an intelligent multiple-protocol communicationscontroller. Each physical channel features a coprocessor which may beprogrammed to support CCITT LAPB, and LAPD mode, and transparent modefor HDLC, Frame Relay, or IBM SDLC. Each channel has a software-selectable v. 35, RS-449/422, and X.21 electrical interface. Otherfeatures include 2 MB of onboard SRAM for frame buffering and digitalphase-locked loop circuitry for back-to-back connection. APC-EIX/DS-3 issuitable for applications demanding the highest performance with minimumburden on the host CPU. It is ideal for use with Multimedia for UNIX orFrame Relay, for T3/E3 (up to 45 Mb/s) full rate data links, fiber-opticdata links, LAN-to-DDN or -PDN gateways, or wide-area RFS/NFS.
